When Walt Miller visits his grandson Tom he brings a bloodhound named Tracker, a dog that loves everybody and everything, except snakes. Walt relates the unforgettable story of how he found Tracker and tells of the dog’s amazing sense of smell. When Walt has to leave suddenly, he asks Tom to take care of Tracker. Much to the chagrin of Tom’s father, his mother champions Tom having his first dog. Tracker stays. Tom and his best friend Randy spend their summer vacation in the bliss and innocence of childhood, discovering Tracker’s incredible abilities. Then… Tracker sniffs trouble!
